Project Description

The first Irish born Saint from the times of the Vikings. The sculpture is brimming with symbolism that tells the viewer the story of this Saint that worked zealously to restore ecclesiastical discipline, marriage, confession and confirmation, and introduced Roman chants in the liturgy. St. Malachy was also known for his care to the needy as a miracle worker and healer and in his lifetime, he planted countless apple trees throughout Ireland during time of famine.
