There is great movement in this sculpture of Jesus being helped by Simon. There is interaction between the two figures as Simon peers over the cross with a concerned look to see if Christ is able to match his paces. This cooperative effort of Simon seems to lighten Christ`s burden for a moment and together they move the cross more swiftly.
