Inspired by Matthew 11:29-30, Timothy uses a diverse cross section of Saints, all of whom came to the Lord with their own burdens. These Saints are shown to be carrying Christ with great ease, which is evident by the joyous expressions on
their faces. The cross itself is sculpted
to look as if it is as light as air
and the Saints can lift it with
only a gentle touch. Christ is
depicted sitting up with His
arms outstretched, symbolic
of His triumph over the cross.
Christ greets the viewer
with a welcoming smile,
inviting them to take
up His yoke.
